TV Sunroom for a Growing Family Home in Maynooth

To build a new TV sunroom for the growing family on a semi-detached house in Maynooth. The client wanted to create an extra space off the dining room for the family to relax in.

Design Solution

We designed a pitched roof sunroom which would increase the ceiling height and create a feeling of a much larger room.

We suggested that the opening windows be positioned to the side to allow for picture frame windows with large panes to create a better view of the garden. Double doors to the front would also allow a better view to the garden.

Challenge

The entire existing conservatory and floor and foundations would have to be removed to allow for proper insulated floors and walls.

This would also involve lifting the existing patio to allow for new sunroom foundations to be excavated.

Build

The sunroom build was completed within the 6 weeks agreed. Roof windows were fitted to allow plenty of light inside to the house.

These were also fitted to the back of the sunroom roof over the openings to the house.

The house required some additional work to the heating system to bring it up the modern specification which our plumber was able to help with.

Results

A stunning example of a large grey sunroom, which blends in perfectly with the existing home.

Before selecting Brightspace to build our conservatory/sunroom, we investigated several other suppliers. We selected Brightspace because, though the most expensive, they were completely professional in all their dealings from the design, manufacture and installation
